Volunteer

Volunteer Time
Volunteers are the heart and soul of Habitat Thunder Bay. Join our roster of volunteers by swinging a hammer, stocking shelves at ReStore or helping out at our fundraising events. There are many ways to get involved.
If you are interested in getting a group of friends or co-workers together to participate as part of the build crew, no construction experience is needed. Our crew leaders will find a job to fit your skill level. Click [here] for information on our Group Build Opportunities.
Volunteering is a great way to, not only give back to our community, but to meet new friends, learn new skills and, most importantly, to have fun! Let’s get started!
ReStore Volunteers
Volunteers at our ReStore assist with a number of different tasks involving the preparation materials for sale, customer service, sorting & organizing inventory, and housekeeping duties. If you have an interest in home improvements or retail and would like to help make a difference in our community, we want you!
Choose from a variety of volunteer opportunities:
• Customer Service
• Sorting, Organizing & Merchandising
• Pick-Up Driver & Assistant
• Building Maintenance and Grounds Keeping
• Repairing/Fixing donations
All ReStore volunteers must be over the age of 16 and be able to lift a minimum of 15lbs. No skills are required.

Salvage & Demolition Volunteers
There are hidden treasures waiting for our salvage team throughout Thunder Bay. Would you like to help us find them? If you have experience in salvage and the removal of large home items or are interested in learning we would love to have you on our Salvage & Demolition Crew!
We provide all tools and necessary training, all we need from you is a willingness to work hard! No matter your skills level, we appreciate a helping hand.
If you’d like to volunteer with us, please fill out our form, and our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch with you!
