VOLUNTEERING AT THE HABITAT RESTORE

Volunteering at the ReStore is a great way to give back to your community, help the environment, develop new skills, and gain hands-on experience in retail! ReStore volunteers prepare merchandise for sale, receive donations, provide customer service and keep our e-commerce site up to date. Proceeds from Habitat ReStore sales help fund the homes Habitat for Humanity builds for families.

All ReStore volunteers must be over the age of 16 and be able to lift a minimum of 15lbs. No skills are required.

What to Expect

You will be asked to create an account in our volunteer scheduling system, Better Impact.

You will complete a brief profile by answering a few questions.

You will be guided through a short online orientation, which includes:

  • Reviewing our policies
  • Watching three short videos
  • Completing two training modules

We will conduct a background check.

Once your profile is reviewed and approved, you will be able to log into your Better Impact account and register for your own volunteer shifts based on your availability.

Please note: the first 15 minutes of your initial shift will include a brief Health and Safety tour.
